Racine's Castle Lanes "Visit the Wildside of Bowling".
Georgette Albert took over the Women’s Division lead in grand style Thursday on the fifth day of qualifying for the Hope Safehouse Match Game Tournament at The Lanes on 20.
Albert, a member of the Racine USBC Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame, had games
of 233, 249 and 269 for a 751 women’s national honor series.She shot 709 in her final three games for a total of 1,460, passing Katie Zwiefelhofer for the top spot in the Women’s Division. Zwiefelhofer had held the lead since qualifying began Sunday.
In the Men’s Division, Chip Gehrke shot 1,850 with a high game of 276 and moved into fifth place. Tony Kenyon rolled a 299 game to lead of his eight-game set, but wasn’t able to qualify for the finals.
In the Seniors’ Division, Pat McNally (267 high game) and Jerry Jasperson (268) both totaled 1,734 and are tied for fourth.
No Super Seniors bowled Thursday.
The final qualifying session is at 6:30 p.m. today.
